The Stanislaus County Sheriffs Department Detective Division is investigating a murder that took place during a marijuana grow theft in the 100 block of Becky Way in the City of Waterford. The homeowner was operating a marijuana grow in the back yard of his residence and had 20-25 plants, including large plants ready for harvest. Teresa Unsiog (pictured here), 42 of Rio Linda, CA does not live at the address and was in town visiting the homeowner. On 9-19-14 at approximately 4:30 A.M. the residents went to investigate noises they had heard in the backyard. Upon investigating, they located several subjects stealing the marijuana plants. During the altercation several shots were fired by the suspects, striking Unsiog. Unsiog ultimately died from her injuries. The suspects were seen fleeing the area in two vehicles. The vehicles are similar to the ones pictured. Vehicle #1: Chevy or GMC Extended Cab Step-side pickup dark in color. Vehicle #2: Chevy HHR light in color possibly (white, tan or silver).
