Modesto Police Department

On 2/17/19, a little after midnight, a female in her early 20s was walking to her vehicle in the area of 10th and L Streets in downtown Modesto. She was talking on her phone as she unlocked her car, when the two individuals pictured, attacked her from behind striking her in the face. The suspects pulled the victim’s backpack off her back and took her purse from inside the backpack. The suspects fled in the pictured vehicle, which appears to be a Ford Mustang with a tail fin on the trunk. The car has front end damage and the driver’s side headlight is out. Police need your help in locating and identifying these individuals. UPDATE: The suspect with the short hair has been identified as Dequwan Linnear and was arrested in San Joaquin County on a separate case. The suspect with the dreadlocks is still outstanding.
