Modesto Police Department

On 03/19/19 at approximately 0342, Modesto Police officers were dispatched to the Stop N Save at 2549 Yosemite Blvd. to investigate a robbery. At approximately 0320 hours, a Black male adult approximately 5 foot 7 inches tall, and thin build, entered the store wearing a solid burgundy zip up jacket with a hood, camouflage sweatpants, and a light blue cloth around his face covering everything below his eyes. The suspect (S1) ran into the Stop N Save and pretended to act like he was robbing the business. He then pulled his mask down, shook hands with the victim clerk asking if the clerk remembered his name. The clerk did not remember S1s name and S1 told him his name was Shooter. While S1 was talking with the clerk, S2 (unknown) stood lookout at the front door. S1 then left and within a few seconds, returned with his mask back over his face. S1 demanded money from the clerk and the register. The clerk told S1 there was no money inside the cash register. S1 then jumped on the counter, jumped back down, and walked behind the counter where the register was. S1 pulled the register from the shelf and fled with it.
